Artificial intelligence – applications, opportunities and risks

The gfu Insights & Trends innovation forum on 10 July in Berlin was organized by gfu Consumer and Home Electronics GmbH, also the organizer of IFA 2019. It provided exciting insights into one of the major topics trending at IFA2019. The event was moderated by Judith Rakers, and featured top level representatives from the consumer and home electronics industry, as well as related industries and the world of media technologies and research. These experts dove into the highly topical subject of artificial intelligence and outlined many opportunities, risks, and applications for future development.

Artificial intelligence, or AI for short, is the dominant keyword in all debates covering current technologies. However, there are many different ideas about what AI actually is and what it can do. Concerns about the risks and possible negative consequences of AI regularly dominate consumer perceptions.

gfu Insights & Trends was also the opening event of the IFA Innovations Media Briefing (IMB) on 10-11 July 2019, where top IFA exhibitors presented their latest ideas, products and innovations. Individual discussions with the exhibitors provide media attendees with high-quality and focused preliminary content about the upcoming IFA.
